Wildscape is a landscape design aimed to promote ecological prosperity and resistance against wildfires in the subalpine ecosystem. Keeping the inhabitants in mind, the land consists of repeated, man-made modules and infrastructure to encourage growth and resilience.

Smoke Pipes
For post wildfire recovery, tumbleweeds are released and blown around the landscape to deposit and till soil in the new fertile soil.

The lightning rod prevents the chance of lightning fires, paired with a fog harvester that supplies water for the inhabitants.

Smoke pipes placed around the landscape carry the scent of smoke to alert animals of a forest fire for quicker evacuation.
Man-made infrastructure is also scattered throughout the landscape. Click on each image to get a closer look!
Master Plans
Wildscape was created with Unreal Engine in an interactive video game-like format in which the viewers can walk around the landscape and freely explore on their own. The master plans indicate the starting position and module placement to allow for orientation while navigating the landscape.
